Visualize All Accrued Charges and Revenues in One Report
The Accrual Report provides detailed insights into the financial activities for clients using Accrual-Basis Accounting. This report allows you to view financial data by location or drill down to see details for individual children.
Report Overview
The Accrual Report includes the following columns:
- Total Charges Accrued: Sum of charges accrued for the month
- Gross Revenue: Sum of charges accrued for the month
- Discounts: Sum of discounts accrued for the month
- Net Revenue: Gross Revenue - Discounts
- Refunds: Refunded in the month
- Credits: Application fees received in the month (debit), credits applied in the month (credit)
- Cash Collected for Current Period Accruals: Cash paid for charges accrued for the month
- Cash Collected: Total cash collected for the month which includes payroll deductions and subsidies
- Outstanding Balance: Net Revenue - Cash Collected for Current Period
- Revenue per Average Active Enrollment: ((Number of students at the end of the month + number of students at the beginning of the month) / 2) / Gross Revenue
- Revenue per Average FTE: ((FTE at the end of the month + FTE at the beginning of the month) / 2) / Gross Revenue
- Errors: Charges with a due date in the month with missing or bad service dates
Navigation and Drill Through
You can quickly see a dashboard of your financial data for a specific time period. The report allows you to filter by Location and Month using the dropdown filters at the top of the report.
- Viewing by Location: The default view shows the financial data summarized by location.
- Drilling Through to Child Details: By right-clicking on any location and selecting Drill Through > Child Details, you can view the same financial data broken down by individual children. This includes details such as Total Charges Accrued, Gross Revenue, Discounts, Net Revenue, and Refunds for each child.
- Drilling Through to All Details: By right-clicking on an individual child and selecting Drill Through > All Details, you can see the financial data broken down by individual transactions for that child. This provides a granular view of each transaction, including columns such as Transaction ID, Date, Total Charges Accrued, Gross Revenue, and more.
